Terms & Conditions
These terms govern all prize draws operated by Donation Rewards. Please read them carefully before entering.
1. Who we are and our role
Donation Rewards (donationrewards.co.uk) is the promoter and operator of all prize draws facilitated through this platform. We provide the infrastructure, ticket management, and draw administration for a wide range of third parties – including local groups, charities, projects, businesses, and websites – who integrate our free prize draw functionality into their activities.
When you enter a draw via Donation Rewards, you are entering a competition operated by us. The third party (for example, a charity or business) has chosen to integrate our service to offer free tickets as part of their marketing, events, checkout processes, advertisements, or incentives. They determine their own specific project terms (see clause 3), but all draws are ultimately conducted by Donation Rewards in accordance with these master terms.
2. Acceptance of these terms
By participating in any prize draw operated by Donation Rewards, you agree to be bound by these generic terms and conditions. You also agree to comply with any specific terms set by the third party with whom the draw is associated, provided those specific terms do not conflict with these master terms. If there is a conflict, these master terms shall prevail.
3. Project‑specific terms (third‑party integration)
Local groups, charities, businesses, and websites that integrate Donation Rewards may have their own additional terms relating to:
- The nature of the prize and any restrictions on claiming it.
- How tickets are earned or distributed (e.g., via purchase, donation, checkout integration, or as a free incentive).
- Specific eligibility criteria (e.g., existing customers, event attendees).
- Any other project‑specific rules they wish to apply, as long as they do not contravene UK law or these master terms.
It is your responsibility to read and understand both these master terms and any project‑specific terms displayed on the relevant page or website before entering. Donation Rewards is not liable for any project‑specific conditions imposed by third parties, but we ensure that all integrated projects agree in writing to adhere to our core terms and UK law.
4. Free entry route (postal entries)
In accordance with UK gambling and prize draw regulations, we guarantee a free method of entry for every draw. You may enter free of charge by post. To enter via post:
- Send a postcard or letter containing your full name, address, email address (if you have one), and the name of the specific project or draw you wish to enter.
- Include one 1st Class stamp to cover postage costs (this is not an entry fee but a requirement to ensure delivery).
- Address your entry to: Freepost DONATION REWARDS [Project Name] (or the project‑specific postal address provided on their page).
- All postal entries must be received by the published deadline. Late entries will be void.
- Only one entry per envelope. Bulk, machine‑generated, or third‑party entries are not permitted.
Postal entries have the same chance of winning as any other method of entry.
5. How tickets are obtained
Tickets to our prize draws may be obtained in various ways, depending on how a third party has chosen to integrate with us. Common methods include:
- Free tickets – allocated automatically when you sign up, make a purchase, or engage with a partner’s service.
- Donation‑based tickets – when you make a voluntary donation to a cause via a partner, you may receive tickets as a thank‑you.
- Advertising incentives – tickets offered when you view an advert, complete a survey, or interact with promotional content.
- Business integrations – tickets issued during an online checkout, at an event, or as part of a loyalty programme.
The specific method, number of tickets, and odds of winning will be clearly stated on the project page or at the point of integration. No purchase is ever necessary to enter – the free postal route is always available.
6. Eligibility
- Entries are open to UK residents aged 18 years or over only, unless a specific project states otherwise (and always in compliance with UK law).
- Employees of Donation Rewards and their immediate families are not eligible to enter any draw operated by us.
- Employees of the third party integrating the draw may be excluded if stated in their project‑specific terms.
- We reserve the right to verify eligibility and to disqualify any entry that does not comply with these terms or any applicable project‑specific rules.
7. Draw process, winners and prizes
Draw conduct: All draws are conducted by Donation Rewards using a independently verified random draw process (computerised or physical). The draw will take place on or after the date specified on the project page.
Winner notification: Winners will be contacted using the details provided (email, phone, or post) within 14 days of the draw. If a winner does not respond within 28 days, or fails to claim the prize, we reserve the right to select an alternative winner or re‑allocate the prize.
Prizes: Prizes are as described on the project page. They are non‑transferable and no cash alternative is available unless explicitly stated. Any questions about a specific prize (e.g., quality, delivery) should be directed to the third party offering it, though Donation Rewards will facilitate communication.
8. Third‑party obligations
Any group, charity, business, or website that integrates Donation Rewards must agree to our partner terms, which include (but are not limited to):
- Ensuring their project‑specific terms are clear, lawful, and do not conflict with these master terms.
- Complying with all applicable UK laws, including advertising standards and data protection.
- Honouring the prizes they have committed to provide.
- Not using the draws for any unlawful or deceptive purpose.
Donation Rewards reserves the right to terminate any integration and cancel any associated draws if a third party breaches their obligations.
9. Data protection
Your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By entering a draw, you consent to Donation Rewards and the relevant third party using your information for the purpose of administering the draw and, where applicable, for the third party’s own legitimate purposes (as explained in their privacy notice). You may withdraw consent at any time.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Donation Rewards excludes liability for any loss or damage arising from:
- Your participation in any draw or interaction with any third party.
- Any errors, delays, or failures in draw administration beyond our reasonable control.
- Prizes provided by third parties – we are not responsible for their quality or delivery.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
11. Changes and governing law
We may update these master terms from time to time. The latest version will always be published here. Continued participation in any draw after changes constitutes acceptance.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
